Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 11, 2026

Last updated: September 11, 2026

1. What we collect

Account information (name, email, password hash), workspace data you enter (properties, units, tenants, leases, maintenance requests, documents, messages), payment information (handled by our payment processor — we never store card numbers), and usage data (log and device information used to operate and secure the Service).

2. How we use it

To provide and improve the Service: operating your workspace, sending transactional email on your behalf (invitations, notices, reminders), processing payments, providing AI-assisted features, and keeping the Service secure. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your workspace data to advertise to you or to others.

3. AI processing

AI features send relevant workspace content (for example, a maintenance request or an inbound email) to third-party AI model providers to generate drafts, triage, and answers. These providers process the content to provide the feature and are contractually restricted from using it to train their models where such commitments are available.

4. Sharing

We share data with subprocessors that host and operate the Service (cloud hosting, database, email delivery, payments, AI providers), with people you choose to share it with inside the product (your tenants, owners, board members, and vendors see what their portal role allows), and when required by law.

5. Retention and deletion

We retain workspace data while your account is active. After account termination, data is retained for a reasonable export window and then deleted from production systems, subject to legal retention obligations and backup cycles.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is scoped per company with row-level security, and administrative access is restricted and audited. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify affected users of a breach as required by law.

7. Your rights

You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA. Contact us through the contact page to exercise them. If you are a tenant, owner, or vendor whose information was entered by a property manager, we act as a service provider on their behalf — contact them first, and we will support their response.

8. Mobile Information and SMS

Mobile information and text messaging consent will not be shared or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Taz AI is the property management service operated by Lasertaz, at lasertaz.com.

Tenants and vendors opt in inside the product. A tenant ticks the consent box on the Settings page of the tenant portal, next to the mobile number the messages will go to. A vendor gives permission the same way in the vendor portal. Nobody is enrolled by a manager on their behalf, and permission is given for one particular number, so changing that number withdraws it.

A tenant receives rent reminders, payment confirmations and updates on maintenance they reported. A vendor receives job assignments, quote requests and scheduling details. Messages follow events on an account rather than a schedule, so frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to any message to stop all of them. Reply HELP for help, or contact fred@lasertaz.com. Permission can also be withdrawn at any time by clearing the box on the Settings page of the portal.

Full details of what is sent and how permission is given are on the SMS consent page, and the Terms of Service apply.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time and will notify you of material changes by email or in the app before they take effect.
